1. Not all employees know the coupon policy so it is best when doing good deals to bring along a printed copy of the coupon policy from the website of the store, this ensures that you are armed with the knowledge.
2. Dont be rude to employees. A lot of them are like most people and unhappy in there jobs or have things going on at home, and if you are going to shop at this store a lot you want employees on your side.
3. Don't clear shelfs.. yes you have 10 BOGO for the BOGO item and you are excited but think of how the next couponer will feel when they come in to grab the same product. Yes I know a lot of people do it.. but I like to think.. Karma.. it comes back at you..
4. If you live in a state with tax calculate in tax, when I first started I would see deals and step by step instructions for amazing purchases, grab my coupons and rush down and then be confused when the price came out to way more then I read on a blog.. Living in california I pay almost 10% in tax.. so that's a $1 for every $10 I spend which can make freebie''s for me pricey if I buy too many. So pay attention to your states sales tax that is going to affect your deals
5. Bring all your coupons and have them ready before you get to check out, one this saves time for the people in line with you but also makes it easier for you not to forget a coupon. I have forgotten coupons so many times when I was hustling because I didnt have them ready.. and 0.50 and 0.25 add up when you forget too many.
